What is QCV in irrigation?

Quick Coupling Valves, or Turf Valves, commonly known as QCVs are a tool used to tap into the mainline water pipe of your sprinkler system.  They are installed at ground level on their own or in a valve box.

With an internal valve to avoid any leakage, simply activate the valve with the key and lock in place.  The key has a 3/4" male thread where you can attach a sprinkler or hose.  Remove the key to close off the valve and the access to water.

QCV' s are an efficient way to access and control water from your mainline. They can replace above-ground taps with stand pipes and installing in a valve box allows you to run a mower over the top of them. The QVC is simple to operate: open the cap, insert the valve key and lock it into place.

Quick coupler are used to move water outlets quickly and easily. A typical system has multiple quick coupling valves in the ground and then a quick coupling key is moved from valve to valve as needed. The swivel elbows are used when a hose is desired on output.
